Busia county aspiring governor Dr. Paul Otuoma today gained immense political support after several politicians and political parties threw their weight behind him.
On the forefront was Matayos aspiring MP on ANC ticket Catherine Omanyo followed by her competitor on Ford Kenya ticket Emmanuel Osore,
“We would like to declare our support to Eifumbukhe because we have seen he is able to be a good governor.”
Kizito Wangalwa through Patrick Ogochi, an officer in his office, also declared his support,
“Wangalwa has send me to tell you that he is fully behind you and ready to work with you.”
Wangalwa announced yesterday that he was ceasing to support Ojaamong occasioning Ojaamong to present Moses Mulomi to the IEBC today as his running mate.
Eugene Masombo who is Funyula parliamentary aspirant also joined Otuoma at a public rally at Busia bus park and expressed his support.
Others who have declared their support to Otuoma, independent candidate, are; Amani National Congress (ANC) of Musalia Mudavadi through Busia County chairperson Chris Chesa, Busia county council of elders through their chair Jonathan Wabala, Shem Papa from Teso north and Polycap Onyango who is vying for Matayos parliamentary on Labour Party ticket.
While accepting their support, Otuoma has appreciated them and promised to work with them to ensure Busia county moves forward,
“I want in particular to thank my brother Wangalwa for the step he took yesterday because you all know how he has been frustrated by Ojaamong.”Said Otuoma.
